About Us
The Norwich University Club Hockey Team was established in the Spring of 2008 in order to bridge the gap between the lunch time open hockey sessions and the extremely competitive varsity team. The Club Cadets played their first ever game at Lyndon State College downing the Hornets 11-6.

The Club Cadets are a fully sanctioned club at Norwich University. The team is managed by a group of officers, all of whom are players, who receive input from the rest of the team. These positions include President, Treasurer, Secretary, Public Relations Director and Assistant Public Relations Director. Each player pays yearly dues in order to pay for refs, transportation, league fees and other parts of the operating budget. The team also operates through funding from the Student Government, The Pritzker Grant and other various sponsorships.

League Information

The team competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 2. The ACHA is the national governing body for club hockey in the United States. The ACHA hosts a National Tournament every year for each of it’s three levels as well as four regional qualifying tournament per level. The Club Cadets are also a probationary member of the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA), a very competitive club hockey league in New England.

The Club Cadets play a 18-20 game schedule against their NECHA opponents as well as other opponents from New England. The team is competitive and tryouts are held in October of each school year and at the beginning of second semester if necessary. Any future or current students interested in playing should visit our recruiting page.
